How Homelessness Affects Students.

  • Some students who are homeless face depression, anxiety, or low self-esteem.

  • Students should be able to focus on college or getting a job but students that are homeless have to worry about basic necessities.

  • Some students may think that they can't do it because they don't have the money or the right background.

  • Most homeless students probably don't have friends cause they are too afraid of getting bullied or that friend finding out they are homeless and not wanting to be their friend any more.

  • They might be sad because they aren't offered the luxuries other people their age are offered.

  • Their self-esteem is low because they are embarrassed about being homeless.

What This Could Mean For The Drug Problem.

  • Being out on the streets makes it easier for people to have access to drugs.

  • Homeless students may turn to drugs for relief from their current situation.

  • Homeless students may be peer pressured to do drugs by other students.
